This is a garden we redesigned in the Cairns Drogheda. It was previously a gravel garden as in the image below and offered little in terms of the look or feel of a real natural garden. We removed all the stone and hardcore base and imported fresh top soil. We then created raised beds with cottage style perennials, laid a new turf lawn and a path to extend the approach access to the house. Some screening with conifers was added to the side of the garden to bring height and define the boundary and beds . The new limestone path to the side of the driveway makes it easier when stepping out of the car. While a new curved bed makes a welcoming approach to the front door.
